Confidence, Change & The Power of a Fresh Start

“Confidence isn’t about knowing you’ll succeed. It’s about trusting yourself enough to start.”

Here we are—the final blog in our confidence series. Over the past month, we’ve explored what it means to own your voice, take up space, challenge privilege, and redefine success. But here’s the thing about confidence: it’s not something you build once and keep forever. It’s something you return to, again and again.

Just like nature moves in cycles, so do we. And when we hit a New Moon moment—a point where things feel uncertain, where we need a fresh start—it’s easy to lose confidence in ourselves. That’s why the real secret to confidence isn’t action alone. It’s knowing when to pause, reflect, and shift.

Confidence Is a Cycle, Not a Destination

We live in a world that tells us confidence is about being fearless, loud, and always pushing forward. But real confidence is about knowing:

  • When to act and when to step back.

  • When to let go of something that no longer serves you.

  • When to trust that even if you don’t have all the answers, you’re still moving in the right direction.

A new moon moment—whether it’s an actual New Moon or just a personal phase of transition—isn’t about having everything figured out. It’s about setting an intention and taking one small step toward it.

How to Navigate Confidence Through Life’s Cycles

Rather than expecting ourselves to feel bold and capable 100% of the time, what if we recognised that confidence, like life, has phases? Here’s how you can lean into each one:

🌱 Planting the Seed (The Beginning Phase) – This is where change starts. Maybe you’ve decided to speak up more, set better boundaries, or step into a leadership role. You don’t have to be perfect at it yet—just commit to starting.

💡 Building Momentum (The Action Phase) – Confidence grows when you take small, consistent steps. This is where you practice showing up, even when you don’t feel ready.

🔥 Owning Your Power (The Expansion Phase) – You see progress. You’ve done the work, and now you’re standing in your confidence. Celebrate this moment. Own your wins.

🌙 Reflection & Reset (The Realignment Phase) – Confidence isn’t about constant action. It’s about knowing when to pause, assess, and shift direction if needed. This is where you ask: Am I still aligned with my intention? If not, you tweak. You refine. You REESET.

The Last Confidence REESET: A Simple Practice

As we close out this confidence series, take a moment to reflect:

1️⃣ Where in your life are you ready for a fresh start? This could be in your work, your relationships, or even your mindset. 2️⃣ What’s one belief about yourself that you’re ready to change? Maybe it’s “I’m not good enough” → “I am learning and growing every day.” 3️⃣ What’s one small step you can take today? Confidence doesn’t come from knowing you’ll succeed—it comes from trusting yourself enough to try.

Moving Forward with Confidence

This isn’t the end of your confidence journey—it’s just a new phase. The more you embrace the natural cycles of confidence, the easier it becomes to move through them with trust instead of fear.

So here’s your challenge: What’s your next confidence REESET? What’s the next step—big or small—you’re ready to take?

Because confidence isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about believing in yourself, even when you don’t.
